[MSCW list] Strange Sloshing Sound Has Appeared

Okay, here's a weird one. I've had this car for 6 years, and have only
noticed this in the last week. In the mornings on the way to work, I hear
an obvious liquid sloshing around sound coming from what seems to be behind
the passenger seat. It doesn't matter if the fuel tank is full or near
empty. I don't hear it on the way home, but it sounds like it is a lot of
water?, gas? sloshing around. There's no odor in the car or in the trunk,
and I've stopped and swung the door open/closed and it is not in the door.
It seems like it correlates some with whether it has rained, but I'm not
sure about that.

I play the stereo at the same volume all the time, and have been doing
stop/start driving in DC for 3+ years now, along the same route every day,
and I've never heard this until last week.

I was the victim of someone letting the air out of one of my tires
overnight on several occasions, could I be the victim of another prank or
is there a more scientific explanation?

Not that it matters, but it is a 2004 MX-5 Mazdaspeed, metallic grey.

Your mystified friend,

Glenn
