Reference restarting a car....
I did alot of research on this before I deployed overseas and left my
beloved P5 covered up in the garage for a year (although it only sat
for 6 months at a time since I was able to come home on mid-tour
break).
Anyway, and this may be overly cautious, the best advice I got was to
pull the spark plugs, put a small amount of motor oil into each
cylinder, and let it soak. The oil drips off the top of the cylinder
and down onto the rings, helping to reduce the scraping and scoring of
the first several rotations.
Reinstall the plugs, and start the engine. Let it run for a while.
Now, you have fouled plugs, so pull them, and replace with brand new
plugs. Ready to roll!!! Worked for me....
Caveat: this was for a piston car, so I don't know if it's applicable
for a rotary...
