Regarding the check-engine light on your '02 Miata: make sure the gasket
on your gas-filler cap isn't worn or misaligned. That solved the problem on
my '03.

Hi All,

Several of us are starting a fiberglass top project for Miatas. The plan
is to pull a mould off of an existing top, do some aesthetic modifications
and then make the positive from that. Does anyone have any experience with
this? Some of us have boat making experience, surfboards and etc.

Hi All,
I know several of you have early RX7s in your stables (garage!)
How are they as project cars? Several of the mechanics MSCW works with say
to stay away.
Any thoughts? Anyone working on one now? Stalled projects? Successes?

I?m new to the list and here is my question ? I have a 2002 Miata. The
check
engine line has been coming on intermittently. Code P0012. I have taken it
to two independent shops and neither really wanted to deal with it. The
second shop told me to go to the dealer. The dealer ? Brown?s in Alexandria
? charged me a small fortune to fix some oil leaks. The light came back on
before I was even home. I did some internet searching and saw that there
was
a TSB out for this. My question is can any one recommend a fix ?it shop in
the Southern Md area or even great DC area. Thanks.
