Hi All,
Some of you might be aware of the Art Car project I have my design students doing at Georgetown. This started out to be a Mazda RX7 hand painted by the students for the Baltimore Artscape Art Car Festival. It evolved into a traditional BMW Art Car piece... Actually, BMW has loaned us two! In any case, I wanted to invite all of you to the event as well as an opportunity to vote on the design. Attached below is an email from our BMW club collaborator. (In the future we will try to make this a Mazda event):
NCC has teamed up with 17 Georgetown University's Art 162 students to create ArtCars. Follow along on our Facebook page ( http://www.facebook.com/pages/NCC-BMW-CCA-Georgetown-University-Artcars-Project/111559832347759 ) as we spend the next few days reviewing the designs, selecting the winners, and having a Bimmer day right in the center of campus!
You can scroll through the student designs on Facebook ( you do not need an account) at http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.111968145640261.1073741828.111559832347759&type=1&l=33fa6bb577 . We'll tally up the most likes April 18 at noon to choose the top 2 designs.
On April 23, between 9:30 am and 1:00 pm, join us at Healy Circle, right in the heart of Georgetown's campus, for the announcement of the winning student designs and witness their work be applied directly to the BMW cars. BMW NA will be dropping by with two of their newest cars - the ActiveE electric and a 5 series hybrid. And last but certainly not least, the BMW Foundation will be rolling through DC in their E30 M3 Payson Race Car!
Healy Circle is at the intersection of O Street NW and 37th Street NW in Washington, DC
Need more incentive? Check out two YouTube videos that the Arts 166/266 Animation students made to help promote the project:

Get to "like"ing your favorite designs, and come on by the campus on April 23rd to check out this creative collaboration of passions!
