You've probably made the same sad discovery I have, which is that  the Bose 
system is not nearly as good as its inflated reputation would  suggest.  
After the CD player quit working, I had my Bose replaced  with a Sony at the 
Best Buy in Laurel.  They did a perfectly acceptable job  of installation, 
but the sound still stinks because I still have the Bose  speakers that tend 
to get soggy and produce a muddy sound on damp days.   One of these days....

Hi, has anyone use a stereo installation  shop for their miata (that they 
would recommend)?  I am thinking about  replacing the Bose in my 1999 AE and 
am wondering about the option and  cost...
