I had the two stock FD Bose Soundwave Amps (in the "snake") rebuilt 7/1/15
by Factory Car Stereo Repair, INC., 1987 Corporate Square, Suite 159,
Longwood, FL 32750, phone 407-830-0777. Only shipped the amps(small and
fairly easy to take out). They have a great website with directions for
removing the snake from the car (and amps from the snake I think)!  They
rebuilt the amps and turned them around in about 2 days for about $80 each.
Reinstalled amps and snake. Acoustic wave now works great. No/Low volume
problem resolved. 

 

My son Andrew had the stock FD tuner (inoperative) rebuilt, and stock
CD/Tape unit repaired (CD unit was inoperative) in 12/2012 by Southern
Electronics, 730-A Research Road, Richmond, VA 23236, 804 423 1100
(www.southernelectronics.com). Had the two units removed from the car (for
shipping) and reinstalled by a local car audio shop (Sound FX, 17665 Coastal
Highway, Lewes, DE, 302 644 8111) so as not to damage the units or
surrounding dash areas. Units came back fixed and are still working fine.
About $225 each for repairs I think.

 

I believe that Factory Car Stereo Repair in Florida could probably handle a
tuner or CD problem as well as Southern Electronics.
