[MSCW list] Clutch pedal noise

On NC get a clicking noise when I push in the clutch pedal. I determined that it originates from under the dash. It comes from one end of the pedal spring wire.  The end of the wire goes into a hole in a metal frame.  It moves when the pedal is push in. My eye sight is not good but it looks like there is a part of a bushing in the hole. Has anyone experienced this noise and is there a bushing that needs to be replace?
