I'd offer to swap with my '97's panels, which have the factory cutouts for
tweeters, but there are mods you may not be interested in.
For those unaware, the '97 doors are unique. Visually, you see a larger
bolster for side impacts. Internally, there is actually less steel behind
the bolster. If using a '97 inner panel on an earlier door, you'll have to
remove some foam from the bolster, or cut steel.
As for the sheeting, can anyone think of a reason not to just spray the
outer side of the inner panel with undercoating and be done with the
sheeting?
