[MSCW list] Little heat when set on 'face'

I don't know the specifics of how Mazda set this up, but I can think of a few possibilities:
- The seals in the HVAC air mixer box are shot.
- If the actuation is controlled by cables, the cables or end are worn and need replacement or adjustment.
- If the actuation is by vacuum, there is a leak in the hoses or connectors.
You may need to pull the dash apart/out to resolve any of the three. I'd start by getting the factory service manual and see how it all fits together, it could well be you can get at and adjust cables to make it better.
