[MSCW list] Mazda Sports Cars of Washington, DC - 2021 Scenic Drive #1 - Bull Run and Clifton

The Drive:  Our first drive of the 2021 Season begins at the Stone Springs Medical Center on US50 in Northern Virginia (24440 Stone Springs Blvd. Dulles, VA 20166).  We'll depart the parking lot on Saturday, April 10, at 11:00 AM and join Gum Springs Road Southbound to Braddock Road, and make our way to Clifton via Bullrun Postoffice Road and Compton Road.   We will proceed through Clifton, enjoying the hilly, curvy roads, and make our way out to VA 123 Northbound, and then turn West on Fairfax Station Road for more curves back into Clifton.   We'll get back to Clifton at approximately 12:30 PM, and at that point the drive is over.

Dining:  Because things are still catch-as-catch-can due to the pandemic, I'm not going to try and make a reservation for lunch for the group.  However, for folks who wish to stay and eat in Clifton, I can recommend the following restaurants, and you are free to make your own reservations or other arrangements (they all have indoor and outdoor seating):
Trattoria Villagio (Italian) 7145 Main St, 703-543-2030.  We've had very good meals here.
The Main Street Pub (American and Pub food), 7140 Main St, 703-266-6307.  I tend to call this "The Gourmet Grocery", because it's a part of the General Store.
Clifton Cafe (Creperie and American) 7144 Main St, 703-830-2424.  Both sweet and savory crepes and other food all made from scratch on premises.

Parking in Clifton:  There is some parking on the street, as well as some parking near the railroad track and caboose, and also parking by the Church behind Trummer's restaurant.  It's a small town so everything is withing comfortable walking distance.
