 I have a 2007 GT hard top convertible that I lent to my daughter in Wheaton because her Honda has a bad timing chain and is under repair.  I live a fair distance away (Accokeek, MD)  She just phoned to let me know that she thinks the Miata has a timing chain problem because of a "rattle" in the engine. She has parked the car. Are there any recommendations for this type of engine work in the Wheaton area?

I use Precise Auto Service in Kensington Maryland (near my house).  They have done a new clutch and brakes for my NC Miata (satisfactory work).  But they do not have any particular specialty with Miatas or Mazdas.
