Just to rule out the simplest of potential issues, is there enough oil in
the engine? PTM

I have a 2007 GT hard top convertible that I lent to my daughter in Wheaton
because her Honda has a bad timing chain and is under repair.? I live a fair
distance away (Accokeek, MD)? She just phoned to let me know that she thinks
the Miata has a timing chain problem because of a "rattle" in the engine.
She has parked the car. Are there any recommendations for this type of
engine work in the Wheaton area?

I use Precise Auto Service in Kensington Maryland (near my house).? They
have done a new clutch and brakes for my NC Miata (satisfactory work).? But
they do not have any particular specialty with Miatas or Mazdas.

Does the club have a list of Miata-wise mechanics in the area....especially
non-dealership?

Hi all,

I've looked around the MX-5 forums and getting too much advice

   - after 3-year warranty just live with it,
   - some kind of seat belt tensioner
   - lube the springs
   - open it up and clean it out

Any of these work?

Mark Weiser
