[MSCW list] MSCW 2021 Scenic Drive #2 - Maryland and the Washington Monument - 5/22/2021

The Drive:  Our second shorter drive of the 2021 Season begins at the Mount Hebron High School near Ellicott City (9410 MD-99, Ellicott City, MD 21042).  We'll arrive between 9:30 and 10:00 AM, depart the parking lot at 10:15 AM and join MD99 West before heading North on MD32 to Eldersburg and then heading West on MD26 and secondary roads through Libertytown and North of Walkersville before crossing the Frederick Municipal Forest, over to Middletown, and a stop at the Washington Monument State Park (https://dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/pages/western/washington.aspx) for a bathroom break and a look around.  Then we'll head down to Boonsboro for the end of the drive and a lunch at Dan's Restaurant and Tap House around 1:00 PM.

Dining and Parking:  Dan's Restaurant and Tap House will be our lunch stop at the end of the drive.  It's in Boonsboro and we can usually find parking at various lots nearby.   They should be able to accomodate us inside or outside.  More information on the restaurant is at https://drnth.com/.
