I'm shamelessly stealing an idea from the Maryland Miata Club, who took their cars across the Dam on the Prettyboy Reservoir earlier this year.   The reservoir was one of my checkpoints when I was learning to fly and navigate by pilotage from Frederick MD to Lancaster PA.   I never knew the Dam was open for cars.

We'll start at the Meadowood Regional Park (10650 Falls Road, Lutherville Timonium, MD 21093) and make our way up MD25 and up into PA to loop around the Reservoir.  We will stop on the Dam for pictures before making our way via curvy secondary roads to Carrol County where we'll go for great fried chicken at Bullock's Family Restaurant (https://www.bullocksrestaurant.net/) in Westminster.  That's why I'm calling this route Dam Good Chicken.

Logistics:
Assembly - We'll get together at Meadowood Park at 9:00 AM on July 13. Please have eaten breakfast, have at least half a tank of gas and an empty bladder
Departure - We'll depart at 9:40 AM
Time/Distance - About 70 miles and 3 hours with a stop on the dam for pictures.
Food - Bullocks Family Restaurant
Car limits - 25.  We'll probably break into four subgroups just in case but will all get together on the dam.
Weather -  If the weather is bad, we will try again on 7/14/2024
Technology-  I will bring nine extra Midland GMRS radios.  If you want to bring your own GMRS radio, we will be using Channel 30 on Midland Radios, or 462.7000 MHz frequency and CTCSS 17 for the privacy code.  In Glympse, we'll use the !mscw_cruise tag to keep track of each other.  I'll have GPS for the subgroup leaders, and there may be an extra as well.
