Hi Chuck,

It will absolutely improve the car, 30 year old rubber parts at 150k are well beyond their service life.  I'd shop around a bit for shocks, there is definitely some room for improvement over what was stock, but just having all fresh parts, new shocks, and new tires will make the car feel considerably better.
