Regarding a shop for shocks, bushings and tires.  I recently (August) had coilovers and tires installed, along with an alignment done at PTuning (I worked with Cory Marshall) in Manassas.  They were an earlier recommendation I received on the listserv here.  I visited a couple of  recommended shops and while they were all nice, PTuning quoted lower cost and my experience with them was first rate.  As to whether it will benefit your car, I suppose each case is it's own - for me replacing the stock bilsteins (they were pretty tired after 60k mi) on my 2012 PRHT with MeisterR Zetasports transformed the cars handling for spirited daily driving.  Well worth the cost/effort.
