Our first drive of the season (March 22nd) will be a route through a variety of roads in Northern Virginia, with enough variety to keep people interested and entertained, but not too complex for folks who've just gotten used to driving the Mazda again after the Winter.

The route isn't firm yet. It'll start at the Stone Springs Hospital on US50, and will last a couple hours and then end at a place where we can have lunch. There's a scouting trip on March 1st and I'll stitch a path together from the roads that were scouted. I'll send an update and make the GPS files available no later than the 9th of March, so by all means sign up now for the 'route still to be determined'.

Logistics:
Assembly - We'll begin to assemble at the Stone Springs Hospital parking lot (east side of the hospital off US50) at 9:30 AM.
Departure - We'll depart the hospital at 10 AM
Time/Distance - Expect the time to be around 2-2.5 hours of driving, and probably no more than 120 miles.
Food - We'll find lunch at a decent place - I'll publish the restaurant when I publish the final route
Car limits - 20 cars for this route.
Weather - If the weather is bad on the 22nd, we'll try again on the 23rd.
Technology - I will bring nine extra Midland GMRS radios. If you want to bring your own GMRS radio, we will be using Channel 30 on Midland Radios, or 462.7000 MHz frequency and CTCSS 17 for the privacy code. In Glympse, we'll use the !mscw_cruise tag to keep track of each other.
