I call this the Maryland Mexican Cruise, not because of any prejudice (I know we're all a little hypersensitive right now) but because we'll be stopping for Mexican food along the way. This is a short drive on smaller roads, designed to see the countryside rather than carving our way through technical challenges.

We'll start at Mt. Hebron High School, just west of I-70 exit 87, and head west on MD99 before turning north on Marriottsville Road and then into the Patapsco Valley State Park and heading toward Sykesville on Sandosky, before turning right on Main St to join Obrecht Rd to link up with MD97 northbound to join MD26 westbound and head south on MD27 into Mt. Airy, where we'll stop for lunch at Los Aztecas (https://www.losaztecasmd.com/). After we've had our lunch (one margarita maximum!) we'll get back on MD27 southbound past Damascus and then join Hawkins Creamery Road to take us to MD108, which will take us to Brookeville Road to rejoin MD97 southbound and we'll end the drive at Olney Fair Hill.

Logistics:
Assembly - We'll assemble at the Mt. Hebron High parking lot on Sunday, April 20th, at 10:40 AM.
Departure - We'll depart at 11:10 AM,
Time/Distance - Total time will be three and one-half hours, with two of them spent moving, and I'm giving us ninety minutes for lunch. Total driving distance is under 60 miles, so no need for full tanks on this drive
Fees - No fees for this drive
Food - We'll get to Los Aztecas around 12:15 PM. https://www.losaztecasmd.com/ They have a wide range of dishes, including seafood.
Car limits – The initial limit will be set to 20 cars, but may be expanded later
Weather - If the weather is awful, we'll try again on April 26th (the day before our trip to Patty-Os and the mountains)
Technology- I will bring nine extra Midland GMRS radios. If you want to bring your own GMRS radio, we will be using Channel 30 on Midland Radios, or 462.7000 MHz frequency and CTCSS 17 (118.8 Hz) for the privacy code. In Glympse, we'll use the !mscw_cruise tag to keep track of each other.
