Our eighth "destination" drive will start later in the morning (for once) and will take us up to Pennsylvania near Bedford to an attraction called "Gravity Hill", a place where your eyes will deceive you about which way is up or down. We'll also visit the Flight 93 national memorial (bonus if we can get a white and a blue mazda on the trip for a red-white-blue lineup for photos) since we will be getting close to the 9/11 anniversary. If you've never been to this memorial, I highly recommend it. We'll stop at the Lincoln Cafe (https://www.facebook.com/thelincolncafe) for lunch on the way. After the memorial I'll take us down PA96 into Maryland and Cumberland where folks can get on I-68 to I-70 to head home, or follow me on MD51 to WV9 to VA9 for a more scenic drive homeward.

Logistics:
Assembly - On Sunday, August 24th, we'll start assembling at 8:30 AM at the Harry Grove Stadium / Nymeo field in Frederick MD (21 Stadium Drive, Frederick, MD, 21703). There is a Sheetz nearby (6050 Buckeystown Pike, exit 54 off I-70 Eastbound) where you can fill your tank and empty your bladder.
Departure - We'll leave the stadium at 9:00 AM.
Time/Distance - 180 miles / 8 hours from Frederick to Cumberland, with the stops along the way We should reach the Cumberland I-68 ramp around 5:00 PM if we spend 3 hours at the Flight 93 Memorial.
Fees - No fees for the memorial.
Food - The Lincoln Cafe has a very good reputation for fresh food, but no online menus We do have other options including the Coal Miner's Cafe west of Stoystown..
Car limits – Gonna set a limit of 15 cars, though if it fills up I'll add more slots.
Rain Date - If the weather is poor on the 24th, the 30th is a backup.
Technology - I will bring thirteen extra Midland GMRS radios. If you want to bring your own GMRS radio, we will be using Channel 30 on Midland Radios, or 462.7000 MHz frequency and CTCSS 17 (118.8 Hz) for the privacy code. In Glympse, we'll use the !mscw_cruise tag to keep track of each other.
