[MSCW list] Repairing puncture in a soft top

Greetings,

I enjoyed my first social meeting in August and several fine people gave
advice about repairing a puncture in a soft top, notably by patching from
the inside with a bicycle tire repair kit and painting the outside black to
seal it.

I didn't ask then, but is there a specific type of paint any of you would
recommend?
